BRIDES QUESTIONS

We often get asked questions about weddings, either at the shows or during the quiet period  March to August when there aren't any shows happening.  We've listed below some of the most commonly asked questions but if you have a specific enquiry please contact us.

How long does it take to plan a wedding?

How long is a piece of string!!
You can plan a wedding in a matter of weeks or months according to how much time and expense you are going to.  We would suggest that the minimum amount of time you should allow to successfully plan a wedding is 3 months and no longer than 18 months.

Short notice weddings (3-6 months) take careful planning and whilst it is possible to organise a smaller wedding - under 100 guests, larger weddings should allow longer.
Firstly make sure you have your venue/church or registration service booked and then send out your invitations.  Next on the list is bridal dress and photography and then work your way down the list.

We suggest 18 months as a maximum time for planning a wedding.  If you've already decided that your wedding will take place in 18+ months time then book your venue/church and then gather ideas until you are 18 months away from the date and then start to actively talk with wedding companies.  You'd be surprised how qucikly new ideas come into fashion and your choices could change.

How much will a wedding cost?

A wedding can  cost from  £1,000  for under 10 people, with a meal
